question on tire size limit

i was wondering how big of a tire that i can run safely on 18" rims on my 95 gsx. right now it has 17s with 225/45s on it. i was thinking about upgrading to 18s to close out some of the wheel gap that the stock suspension has left me with. i dont want to lower the car to close the gap since the front bumper already scrapes A LOT.

I'm running 225/40/18 on my red 1g awd......my friend has those same wheels and same size tires on his 96 awd talon before he gave them to me.

I've heard of guys running 245's on their 18's without any rubbing, and some with rubbing.

It will definatelly help out with the wheel gap, but there is a chance you might rub, depending how wide the tire is.
