If we are talking about the OCT 29th CMI then amazingly I should be ready to rock....

Just got the 2.4 back from COMPTEC. Now all I need are gaskets and I'll have it all ready to rock.

I'll try to make it. Where's the closest place to pick up race gas around here? I want to try and better my 13.6 time and race gas should let me do that.

100 octane they have at the pump at Watt and El Camino. 76 station only on one pump lol. And its unleaded. Not sure where to go if you want 100+. usually higher then that its leaded which will eat and kill your O2 sensors and cat. because YOU ARE running a cat right! because it's against the law if you aren't!!! hehe ;)

My car is registered in Washington where I don't have emissions testing. My permanent address is Washington and I'm only living down here for about 15 months so I don't have to register my car down here. I have a cat, but all other emissions BS is gone. How much does the 100octane stuff cost? I've ran the leaded stuff before, around a 75-25 mix with 92.

I believe it's 6-7 dollars a gallon.

Commercial vehicles and any vehicle owned by a California resident must be registered immediately upon entry into California unless a special permit was obtained. Residents of other states may operate their vehicles with current registration in their names from their residence state for up to six months or until they:

Accept gainful employment in California or become a California resident.
Claim a homeowner's exemption in California.
Rent or lease a residence in California.
Enroll in an institution of higher learning as a California resident or enroll their dependents in school (K-12).
Intend to live or be located here on a permanent basis (e.g., acquire a California driver license, acquire other licenses not ordinarily extended to a nonresident, registered to vote, etc.).
Fees must be paid within 20 days of entry or residency to avoid penalties.

Weird. The representative for UTI told me that I wouldn't have to register my car down here since I won't be a resident and since my permanent address is in Washington. I'm also a dependent under my parents who still live in Washington if that makes any difference.

you're a student here in CA with a WA driver's license and WA HOR, you won't need to change it over. that law that shane posted only applies to those seeking work and place of residence.

at least that's what i was told anyways. my buddy is a cop and i just asked him.

That law actually doesn't specify residence only and therefore is in regards to anyone visiting CA for the amount of time listed before. The residents requirements and what not make that person to obtain a CA reg. before the 6 months if any of those conditions are met. Otherwise you would have people claiming there not here for residence and have "stayed" here for the past umpteen years and keep renewing there registration elsewhere. At least that's how I interpret the law :)

haha, i think there's an exception.

eitherway, i don't think he needs to worry just as long as he can prove that he lives in WA and he's just here for school and is going back.

So true. Be nearly impossible for a cop to prove that plus they have better things to do! ;) So we hope! like catch those damn street racers! :D
