Hey i need a valve job done on my 97 GST, and i was wonder where's the best place, if i can get it done cheaper and anything else i should know on this issue. (i was told i could get one done for $100) thanks.

100 bux for a valve job? how much cheaper do you want? you get what you pay for.

$100 for a valve job?!? or is that just to replace the seals?

no its the whole valve job with compression test and valve check.

Man you can't buy a good topend gasket set for that.

Yah, the only way i would do that is if it were somebody with a good reputation and it was a "hookup" price, sounds a little too cheap for me, I would rather pay the extra to someplace I knew would do a good job,,, FYI i recommend Dels machine shop is Sac,, they did a realy nice job on my block, but i would not call them cheap at all..

it is a hookup price, i know someone who knows someone thing. Well thanks guys, i was just wondering if its a good enough price, BTW what would be the average price for a decent valve job?

for a "decent" valve job, it would be around $300.
