hey everyone.. i was driving to the campass earlier and on my way out i smelled some smoke.. i looked in the side mirror and saw a lot of white smoke commin out the back of my car... after driving a bit it calmed down alot.. i got home and checked out the exhaust tips (where it was comin from) and there was a little bit of the smoke still comin out.. got me a little scared seeing how i just dropped all my money buying tha car and then had to put a new top on the car(which was much$$$$ ).. any advice on what it might be? or something? the car runs fine and no lights turned on.. confusing to me it is ..yoda style

do you have a catalytic converter on the car or no? cars without them let out white poofs of smoke.
and could you be a little more specific with it? did it do it more under acceleration, when did it start, when you said it stopped what were the conditions of the vehicle, and when you shut off the vehicle did you start it up again later that day and did it do it again?

well the car is completely stock so yes there is one. it started up and when i accelerated more white smoke came out... a bit down the road it went away for the most part. as for the condition.. tha car is just fine. no lights came on and it runs the same... i dont know what it was.. just weird...

I was always told that oil makes blue-ish smoke, and coolant makes white smoke.

i believe our cars take about 4.25 quarts. and correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't white smoke coolant? oil is a blueish smoke, and black smoke is fuel.....

White smoke = coolant. Be sure it is indeed white. Coolant has a sweet smell when being burnt (but please dont put ur nose up to the tail pipe  ) White smoke out the tail is usually either a cracked turbo or a head gasket.
