I have a couple manuals and basic tools. Never worked on an overhead cam motor. Anything that's not in the manual that I should know about? Any speceial tools, or tips to make this easier? I have to do this out on the street since I don't have a garage. Oh yea I have to 420a 2.0 NA motor. also I've heard of gasket problems but can't remember the recomended gasket. Any ideas?

most of the aftermarket headgaskets have already solved the 420a headgasket problem. How many miles are on the engine? If it's close to 60k,120k,180k, you might as well do the timing belt water pump service. What are your goals for the 420a?what i mean by this is now would be the time for a port and polish job,3 angle valve job maybe? All good things for a NA DSM.P & P the intake mannifold,TB?just some ideas. ;)

Well I have to be the happiest dumbs%%%t around. It wasn't a head gasket, it was the heater hose split underneath behind the head. If it wasn't for my brother looking in there after we took the hood off I would have been half into removing the head before I would have noticed. Any way I'm back on the road. I do have another 420a motor I plan on doing all the above mentioned mods.
